Every fall, Mayfield offers students and citizens tons of fun with its "Amaizing Farms" corn maze. We took our students for a day of fun and exploring.
Aubrey takes aim with the corn launcher!!!
For Christmas we wanted to help students understand and experience the joys of giving rather than receiving. Students brought in money that was used to purchase fleece to make blankets for children battling cancer at St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis. One of our 3rd graders lost her sister to a battle with childhood cancer which made this an extra special project for our students.
Maci, Raychel, Madelyn, Luke and Lisandro work hard on their "princess" blanket. They hope some little girl will love her new blanket. We love you Tori!
Bailee, Aubrey, Ty, and Zach work hard on their football blanket. In all students donated 16 blankets to the children of St. Jude's.
Students from grades 3-6 assemble every year to kick off our state testing. This year each grade level had to perform some type of skit, song or activity to help motivate the other students to do well on the test. Mr. Mays, the principal from GCHS, came to our school to do the "Revolution" dance with students. We were rockin!!!
Do you want a revolution? Whoop! Whoop!
At the end of every year, students who have met all their Accelerated Reader goals for the year are treated to an end of the year reward party. This year students went swimming at the local YMCA and then had a picnic lunch at Kess Park.
