Addition with Base 10 Blocks

This week, students in Mrs. Green's math class used base 10 blocks to help them better understand the concept of addition with regrouping. Mrs. Stephanie West, our math consultant for the district, instructed students throughout the lesson. The students learned how to trade ones for tens, tens for hundreds and hundreds for thousands.

Spelling Words for Sept. 12-15

Here are the spelling words for this week. Please remember there is no school on Friday, September 16, so our test will be on Thursday. Some students are doing well on the first 15 words but missing the last 5 words. Please also remember that challenge words are not bonus words this year. They are part of the regular test.

Truck Pulls

A couple of weeks ago, all 3 of our 3rd grade classes had the opportunity to view one of the monster trucks that would be participating in the truck pulls at the fair grounds.
